While anchoring wall to wall coverage as Hurricane Dorian made landfall on the North Carolina coast, I was able to show viewers what others were seeing in their area by compiling a list of social media posts.

In the fall of 2018, the Carolina Coast was devastated by Hurricane Florence.
One of the islands off the North Carolina coast that took the most damage was Atlantic Beach. The Fire Chief of AB granted us an exclusive look of the island hours before resident pass holders were allowed to see their homes. As Chief Snyder wore our only microphone as we toured the island along with it’s beaches live for over two hours. With limited cell services, we received thousands of messages over social media and email, answering each and every request
